Responsibilities :
  • The BQT Manager is required to build and maintain a close professional relationship with the events department.
  • The Banquet Managers reviews together with event department all forecasts on a monthly and weekly basis and attends the weekly banquet meeting.
  • Work in close Operations with the conference and events office in order to exceed the guest`s expectations, plan and schedule the banquet operation set up time and style, F&B requirements,manning,equipment needs, additional service and special request.
  • The baquent Maneger is responsible to develop the skills of all banquent employees to a professional level by ongoing and intensive skill training.
  • The baquent Maneger is responsible to manage and control casual labor and ensure the impact on the service delivery proces is nil.
  • To check that all employees, report for work at the specified, and are correctly attired in the hotel uniform and are following me.
  • Hotels grooming standarts at all time, disciplining staff who fail to comply with this.
  • To roster the staff as per the five day working week, based on a fortnightly roster while ensuring that there is sufficient staff at all times to ececute all events withn the department. schedule staff on overtime should the need arise, and requesting additional staff assistent from the F&B Department when required.
Requirements :
  • Having experience in similar position min two years in five stars hotel
  • Graduated from reputable university or academy tourism
  • Able to speak English Oral and written

1. Lamar pekerjaan yang anda minati dan yakin mampu melaksanakan.

2. Buatlah surat lamaran yang terkesan individual/personal, khusus untuk perusahaan yang dimaksud. Jangan membuat surat lamaran yang sudah diformat secara standar atau meniru/menjiplak mentah-mentah dari buku.

3. Usahakan surat tersebut singkat, faktual, dan menarik, dengan bahasa yang jelas dan penampilan menarik, dalam arti: rapi (tidak ada kesalahan ejaan atau tatabahasa), bersih (tinta hitam di atas kertas putih, jangan ada koreksi seperti tip-ex atau perbaikan dengan pensil/bolpoin sebaiknya ketik dan cetak ulang saja) dan selalu berusaha ditujukan kepada seseorang tertentu (nama dan/atau jabatan yang spesifik).

4. Surat lamaran maksimal hanya satu halaman, selalu disertai resume/C.V. (curriculum vitae) Anda dan memberi impresi pertama yang positif tentang Anda.

5. Resume/C.V. Anda sebaiknya memberi detail tentang latar belakang pendidikan, keterampilanketerampilan yang Anda miliki, pengalaman kerja (full-time, part-time, atau freelance yang memberi Anda kompetensi tertentu untuk melakukan suatu pekerjaan), aktivitas (organisasi, masyarakat, olahraga, dsb) dan prestasi-prestasi (di sekolah maupun luar sekolah) yang pernah Anda raih. 6. Baca dan periksa ulang surat lamaran serta resume/C.V. Anda. Pastikan bahwa tidak ada kesalahan tipografis, tata bahasa/grammar, bahasa yang diulang-ulang/repetitif, layout yang kurang rapi (miring atau tidak lurus), ataupun kesalahan lain. Tips Menulis Surat Lamaran Kerja

Berbagai perusahaan Beranggapan Surat Lamaran atau cover letter sebagai bagian terpenting dari seluruh dokumen Pelamaran. Karena itu penting sekali bagi Seorang Pelamar untuk menulis surat lamarannya Dengan baik.

Beberapa Tips Membuat Surat Lamaran

1. Kesan Individual

Jika Anda berencana mengirimkan lamaran ke berbagai perusahaan pastikan Anda menuliskan nama perusahaan yang benar pada surat lamaran Anda.

Selain itu perlu juga Anda membuat surat lamaran yang ditujukan pada seseorang. Gunakan nama dan jabatan yang spesifik jika mungkin. Secara khusus, untuk surat yang ditujukan pada seorang perempuan, jika Anda tidak mengetahui status pernikahannya, gunakan awalan Ms. Contoh: Ms. Suryanegara.

Ingat: Di Internet dan di MS Word tersedia banyak template atau contoh surat lamaran. Jangan hanya mengkopi contoh-contoh tersebut. Ubahlah sesuai dengan keperluan Anda.

2. Singkat dan Padat

Jangan bertele-tele. Tuliskan surat Anda dengan singkat dan padat. Gunakan bahasa yang mudah. Gunakan kata-kata yang biasa digunakan. Tidak perlu berusaha untuk mengesankan pembaca Anda dengan menggunakan kata-kata yang sulit.

Ingat: Jangan menulis surat lamaran Anda lebih dari satu halaman. Perusahaan mungkin menerima belasan bahkan ratusan surat lamaran. Surat lamaran yang terlalu panjang tidak efektif.

3. Rapi dan Bersih

Sedapat-dapatnya gunakan program komputer untuk menuliskan surat lamaran Anda. Dengan begitu Anda dapat menuliskan surat lamaran yang rapi dan bersih sehingga mudah dibaca.

Ingat: Hindari menulis surat lamaran dengan tulisan tangan. Hindari menggunakan tip-ex atau sejenisnya dalam surat lamaran Anda.

4. Isi

Dalam surat lamaran Anda, ada beberapa hal yang perlu dituliskan:

* Pembukaan: Sebutkan dimana Anda mendapatkan informasi tentang lowongan kerja tersebut.Contohnya, Anda bisa menyebutkan bahwa Anda mengetahui lowongan kerja tersebut dari iklan di surat kabar, iklan di Internet, atau dari seorang teman Anda.

* Pekerjaan Anda sekarang: Ceritakan secara singkat posisi dan bidang pekerjaan Anda saat ini. Anda juga perlu menceritakan secara singkat pencapaian utama Anda dalam pekerjaan tersebut. Agar memberikan gambaran yang lebih baik, berikan informasi secara kuantitatif. Misalnya, "Saya membawahi lima orang junior manager". Yang perlu Anda perhatikan di sini, tuliskan hanya hal-hal yang relevan dengan pekerjaan yang Anda lamar. Baca dengan baik persyaratan yang dibutuhkan dalam iklan lowongan pekerjaan tersebut. Jika pekerjaan yang Anda lamar adalah di bidang marketing research, Anda mungkin tidak perlu menceritakan pencapaian Anda di bidang logistik.

* Pendidikan: Jika latar belakang pendidikan perlu diinformasikan, tuliskan secara singkat pendidikan tertinggi Anda. Jika Anda pernah mendapatkan pendidikan di sekolah yang cukup dikenal, ada baiknya Anda menuliskannya di surat lamaran.

* Penutup: Dalam penutup ingatkan pembacanya bahwa Anda mempunyai keinginan kuat untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan tersebut. Ada baiknya Anda menyatakan kapan saat terbaik Anda bisa dihubungi untuk proses selanjutnya. Dan jangan lupa ucapkan "Terima kasih".

Teknik I.

Design Surat Lamaran

Surat lamaran dan isinya tidak membuat anda diterima tapi dapat menjadi iklan bagi anda untuk menjalani wawancara. Surat lamaran seharusnya tidak menceritakan tentang diri anda terlalu banyak sehingga pihak yang membuka lowongan dapat membuat keputusan perekrutan. Surat seharusnya sederhana dan memikat pembacanya untuk ingin melihat anda.

Teknik II.

Latar Pendidikan

Pelamar harus punya latar pendidikan terbaik, kemampuan dan pengalaman untuk selalu mendapatkan posisi yang ditawarkan.
Banyak faktor berkaitan dengan keputusan perekrutan. Pendidikan, kemampuan, usia, ketangkasan kerja hanya beberapa kriteria perekrutan. Majikan atau pihak perusahaan akan mewawancarai anda karena mereka ingin melihat anda – bagaiamana penampilan anda, interaksi, dan kesesuaian anda dengan organisasi mereka.Studi terbaru Yale University melaporkan bahwa 15% alasan seseorang menjadi sukses itu berhubungan dengan kemampuan teknis dan pengetahuan. Namun 85% alasan utama kesuksesan adalah dari kemampuan personal orang itu, yaitu : sikap, perilaku, antusiasme, disiplin diri, gairah kerja dan ambisi.
Inilah mengapa seorang pelamar dengan kualifikasi terbaik diatas kertas seringkali justru tidak mendapatkan posisi yang ditawarkan.

Teknik III.

Keberuntungan

Anda dapat rencanakan semua yang anda inginkan, namun untuk mendapat kerja sesungguhnya berhubungan dengan keberuntungan, atau siapa yang kamu kenal, atau berada di tempat yang benar pada saat yang tepat.
Keberuntungan adalah apa yang terjadi pada orang yang mempunyai tujuan jelas dan juga detail rencana tindakan.

Teknik IV : Perekrut akan menghargai lamaran yang panjang karena itu memberikan mereka lebih banyak informasi dan menghemat waktu wawancara

Kebanyakan lamaran mendapat waktu 30-40 detik saja untuk dilihat. Anda harus dapat mengkomunikasikannya dengan jelas, tepat waktu dan menunjukkan wilayah kompetensi anda. Jarang sekali perekrut mempunyai alasan untuk membaca lamaran yang panjangnya dua halaman.

Teknik V : Selalu meletakkan besar penghasilan yang anda inginkan dalam lamaran

Ini hanya berlaku untuk diri anda. Apakah tinggi atau rendah gaji tidak mempunyai nilai positif terhadap lamaran. Gaji selalu dinegosiasikan setelah pihak perusahaan memutuskan bahwa anda adalah orang yang tepat bagi pekerjaan yang ditawarkan.

Teknik VI : Anda sebaiknya selalu menutup surat lamaran dengan kata-kata : “Saya menanti kabar dari anda”.

Jangan pernah menulis demikian! bahkan disaat seorang pelamar yang merasa rendah karena tidak bekerja dan mengharapkan perekrut untuk mengambil inisiatif. Ini adalah sesuatu yang tidak realistis. Ingat, anda sendiri yang harus mengambil inisiatif. Tetapkan kapan anda akan melakukan follow up. Anda bisa menuliskan demikian :

”Saya akan menghubungi bapak pada Kamis pagi berkenaan dengan pertanyaan yang mungkin akan bapak sampaikan atau untuk kita bisa mengadakan pertemuan pribadi”

Ini mungkin kedengarannya seperti memaksa atau berlaku terlalu tegas, dan mungkin saja memang demikian. Namun apa yang anda inginkan adalah tindakan!. Jerih payah anda akan terbayar.

Teknik VII : Semakin banyak lamaran yang anda kirim, semakin besar kesempatan anda untuk mendapatkan kerja

Tidak perlu demikian. 30-40 surat lamaran yang dikombinasikan dengan pendahuluan yng berkualitas, cover surat yang baik serta follow up telepon akan lebih efektif dibandingkan 1000 surat lamaran yang dikirimkan secara tunggal tanpa tindakan susulan apa-apa.

Teknik VIII : Sekali saja anda mengirimkan surat lamaran, sisanya menunggu

Jika anda tidak mengambil tindakan maka anda sepertinya tidak akan mendapatkan hasil. Selalu lakukan follow up dengan telepon.

“Kamu dapat melakukan apa saja jika kamu mempunyai antusiasme. Antusiasme adalah ragi yang membuat harapan kamu melambung hingga ke awan-awan. Antusiasme adalah ledakan di matamu, ayunan gaya berjalanmu, genggaman tangan, sentakan yang tidak akan tertahan dari keinginan dan kekuatan kamu untuk mewujudkan suatu gagasan. Antusiasme adalah petarung dimana terjadi penyelesaian. Tanpanya, hanya akan ada alibi.
